Find work

Gig apps can fill gaps. They should not define your business.

On-demand platforms can help new operators test demand and build experience, but profitability depends heavily on market, job selection and deadhead.

Use apps strategically

They can be useful for immediate work, learning local demand patterns and filling schedule gaps. The risk is becoming dependent on work where you do not control the rate or customer relationship.

Track each platform separately

Measure gross revenue, total miles, total hours, fees, cancellations and unpaid wait time by platform. Keep the ones that contribute and stop chasing activity that only makes the odometer move.

Build beyond the apps

The stronger long-term model is usually a mix of platform work plus direct business customers, recurring routes and relationships where you can quote based on the value of the service.
